Congratulations to the happy couple: Mr. and Mrs. Frederick! This sweet couple got hitched on October 8th, just one day before Hurricane Michael was scheduled hit – talk about perfect timing, because the following day, they were recommended to evacuate their condo!
Thankfully, the weather did not affect the ceremony and the sunset over Destin’s beaches did not disappoint.
Other than the ceremony, the most anticipated part was the bride and groom’s “first look”.
First looks are a less traditional, modern tradition that has the groom either blindfolded or turned away, opposite from the bride, to reveal a reaction of him seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress.
It was Betty’s idea to have Shane’s brother and best man to be in a wedding dress instead of herself, so you can imagine to Shane’s surprise when instead of seeing Betty, he sees his brother in a beautiful wedding gown!
It was Shane’s lucky day – getting married to two beautiful brides!
And besides, Shane’s brother, Tyler, wasn’t the only other beautiful lady I am talking about… Betty and Shane’s daughter, Autumn, was there to stand by them as they were officiated during the ceremony. Autumn and her mother were both dressed alike with matching floral crowns, looking like they both jumped out of a fairy tale.
The ceremony was perfect, filled with sunflowers (my favorite, by the way), and there wasn’t a dry eye the entire time. Congratulations, you two! I was honored to be a part of your day and I wish you both the very best!
