Hi, I'm Whitney - the photographer behind Whitney Sims Photography and a mom of two.
For over 10 years, I've photographed families, couples, maternity sessions, and weddings along Florida's Gulf Coast. Based in Navarre Beach, I work throughout 30A, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, and surrounding coastal areas.
My approach is simple: I guide you with a clear direction while keeping your session relaxed and natural. I'm especially comfortable working with children and helping everyone feel confident in front of the camera.

When we work together, I approach each session with intention. I am very particular about posing and composition, making sure every image feels natural, flattering, and thoughtfully arranged.
Whether it's a family beach session, maternity portraits, couples, or an extended family shoot, I provide clear direction while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable. My goal is to create images that feel effortless - but are carefully crafted.
LOCATION
I am based in Navarre Beach, Florida, and frequently photograph sessions in Destin, Pensacola Beach, Fort Walton Beach, 30A, and Gulf Shores - and I'm happy to travel.
Travel fees may apply depending on location.
DELIVERY + Keepsakes
Your high-resolution images will be delivered in a private online gallery. From there, you may download, share, and order professional prints, canvases, albums, and cards.
Turnaround times vary based on season and workload. If you need your gallery by a specific date, please let me know in advance.

THE EMERALD COAST

Location and timing play a major role in how your images will look and feel. For the most flattering light and the most relaxed experience, I recommend scheduling sessions at sunrise or sunset. The softer lighting, cooler temperatures, and quieter beaches create the most beautiful and natural results.
The Emerald Coast offers a wide range of stunning backdrops, and I'll guide you in selecting the best location based on your vision and the time of day.
I'm based in Navarre Beach and frequently photograph sessions in Destin, Pensacola Beach, 30A, and Fort Walton Beach.
Travel outside of Navarre Beach is $0.95/mile. Mini sessions require travel fees outside of Navarre. All other collections include a 15 mile radius before mileage applies.
WARDROBE STYLING
PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION
WHAT TO WEAR
For beach sessions, soft neutrals and muted tones photograph beautifully against the Gulf's natural colors. Avoid black or navy as a primary color, and keep patterns minimal.
For families, I suggest styling mom first, then building everyone else's outfits around her look.
If you'd like guidance, I'm happy to offer specific recommendations.
For the Littles
Have fun with this stage. Floral crowns, textured dresses, bow ties, suspenders - simple details can add charm without overwhelming the look.
Bringing a favorite toy or a small snack can also help keep little ones happy during the session.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
If rain is in the forecast, I will monitor conditions closely and keep you informed. In the event of inclement weather, your session will be rescheduled at no additional fee.
HOW MANY IMAGES DO WE RECEIVE?
The number of included images is listed within each session above.
When your gallery is delivered, you will have the option to purchase additional digital files for $15/image. If you are interested in more photographs, you may also upgrade your collection for. better value.
A full gallery purchase option is offered at the discounted rate. Pricing varies by session and will be included in your gallery delivery email.
